Cirque du Soleil (in Spanish: "Circus of the Sun") is a Canadian entertainment company, which describes itself as a "dramatic montage circus and street entertainment" 1 and headquartered in Quebec, Canada, in the area of Saint-Michel. It was created by former street performers Guy Laliberté and Daniel Gauthier in Baie-Saint-Paul, in 1984. The origin of the name dates back to a day when Laliberté admired a sunset during a trip to Hawaii and shortly thereafter decided to use the French term "soleil" ("sun" in Spanish) as a symbol whose meaning is "youth , dynamism and energy '
Each performance features a circus repertoire of various styles from around the world, each with its own theme and history well defined. Thus, the Cirque du Soleil team seeks to connect the performing arts audience through resources such as live music and artists instead of ordinary alternating stagehands accessories. While it got a good financial performance as well as positive reviews in Los Angeles in 1987.2 in the late 1980s stalled in a string of financial failures until Nouvelle Expérience premiered the show, directed by Franco Dragone, who are guaranteed a greater economic success, thus enabling them to provide funds to create new shows.
